Point of Beginning Surveying & Mapping, Inc. (POB) provides professional surveying and mapping services throughout South Florida, drawing on more than 100 years of combined surveying experience. We support public agencies, developers, engineering and architectural firms, utility providers, attorneys, and property owners on transportation, infrastructure, private development, and legal consulting.

POB is led by a team of experienced professionals who provide executive and technical oversight across the firm’s public- and private-sector projects. John A. Liptak, PSM, brings more than 50 years of experience in transportation, municipal infrastructure, and land development. Mike Bartholomew, PSM, has more than 30 years of experience managing FDOT surveying and mapping contracts, complex development and condominium assignments, and expert witness matters involving property rights and construction disputes. Denis A. Denis, PSM, PE, is a dual-licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper and Professional Engineer with more than 20 years of experience, including managing districtwide FDOT contracts, and managing surveying for infrastructure and private development projects.

POB is a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and is prequalified with the Florida Department of Transportation in Work Types 8.1—Control Surveying; 8.2—Design and Right of Way Surveying; and 8.4—Right of Way Mapping. We emphasize responsive service, clear communication, and careful quality reviews, giving clients direct access to experienced professionals throughout each assignment.
